Joe Huntzicker practices in the areas of real estate, secured lending and business transactions. His real estate practice encompasses acquisition and disposition of commercial, residential and industrial property, as well as drafting and negotiation of office, retail and other commercial leases. He represents property owners, commercial lenders, borrowers, landlords and tenants.
Joe’s secured lending practice concentrates on the representation of lenders in connection with the negotiation, documentation and closing of secured loans to a variety of domestic and international companies. He has broad experience in all aspects of a loan's life cycle, including structure origination, performing due diligence, drafting and negotiating documentation, and on-going administration prior to and after closing. Joe's practice includes representing clients in loan modifications, restructurings, forbearances and workouts in the enforcement of creditors' rights and remedies.
His experience in business transactions includes advising and assisting clients on matters involving entity formation, governance, finance and general corporate matters.
Joe received his B.A., with highest distinction, from the University of Michigan in 1996, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 2000. Prior to joining FHSLC, Joe was an associate at Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. and with Goldberg, Kohn, Bell, Black, Rosenbloom & Moritz, Ltd.
