Oliver is a partner who specializes in commercial and complex business litigation. He has handled cases in a wide variety of areas, including contract disputes, business valuations, breaches of fiduciary duty, securities fraud, chapter 11 bankruptcy, consumer protection, and criminal law.  Oliver has significant experience representing creditors in bankruptcy matters, and has also handled bankruptcy litigation matters for debtors, creditors, and creditors’ committees in chapter 11 proceedings, as well as substantial trial experience, and is a member of the Northern District of Illinois’ Trial Bar

Oliver received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1996. He received his J.D., with honors, in 1999 from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to joining FHSLC, Oliver spent a year at the Federal Trade Commission’s Midwest Regional Office, primarily handling consumer protection and financial practices litigation. Before joining the FTC, he was an associate at Jenner & Block LLP.
