Laurie is a capital partner practicing in the areas of secured lending, real estate and corporate law. Her clients include domestic and international banks, private equity companies, developers, property managers, business owners, franchisees and high net worth individuals. She heads the firm’s lending practice, consisting of real estate, corporate and asset-based financing, construction financing, loan sales, loan workouts and foreclosures. In addition, she is a member of the firm’s restructuring and workout team, handles a wide variety of office, industrial and retail leasing, and represents a number of private equity investors in the acquisition and disposition of large retail chains, private placements and other investments.
Laurie received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in piano studies from The Juilliard School. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law in 1984, where she was the Senior Articles Editor of the Fordham Law Review and earned the Senior Prize for academic achievement. Prior to joining FHSLC, she was a partner at Hopkins & Sutter.
