Karla practices in the areas of corporate and securities law, and corporate finance. Karla focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and general corporate counseling. In addition, she has represented both financial institutions and borrowers in connection with lending transactions. Karla advises on the full life cycle of business issues - from formation to funding to exit strategies.

Karla received her B.A. from Carleton College in 1998. She received her J.D., with high honors, from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2004, where she served as an Executive Editor of the Law Review. Prior to joining FHSLC, Karla was an associate at Reed Smith Sachnoff & Weaver.
