Larry Swibel, a founding partner, practicies in the real estate, corporate and restructuring areas, and also has significant experience representing foreign clients doing business in the U.S. He has represented clients, both as developers and lenders, in all aspects of the development of hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, theaters and residential properties. In the 1990s, Larry was one of the lead attorneys representing the FSLIC in the workout and disposition of troubled loans and properties throughout the U.S. In that role, he headed teams of lawyers in working out, restructuring, and modifying complicated commercial real estate loans.
In the corporate area, Larry handles mergers and acquisitions as well as advising closely held businesses regarding shareholder agreements, buy-outs and similar transactions. Since 1991, he has served on the board of the Interlex Group and currently serves as President. Interlex is an association of leading law firms from 35 countries around the world.
Larry received his B.A. from University of Rochester in 1975. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1978. Prior to joining FHSLC, he was a partner at Hopkins & Sutter.
