Lawrence B. Swibel

Larry is a capital partner practicing in the real estate and corporate areas, and also has significant experience representing foreign clients doing business in the U.S. He has represented clients, both as developers and lenders, in all aspects of the development of hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, theaters and residential properties. In the 1990s, Larry was one of the lead attorneys representing the FSLIC in the workout and disposition of troubled loans and properties throughout the U.S.

In the corporate area, Larry handles mergers and acquisitions as well as advising closely held businesses regarding shareholder agreements, buy-outs and similar transactions. Since 1991, he has served as Secretariat of the Interlex Group, an association of leading law firms from 35 countries around the world.

Larry received his B.A. from Rochester University in 1975. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1978. Prior to joining FHSLC, he was a partner at Hopkins & Sutter.

Larry is FHSLC’s Co-Managing Partner.
