Lawrence B. Swibel

Lawrence B. Swibel is an equity partner practicing in the real estate and corporate areas, and also has significant experience representing foreign clients doing business in the U.S. He has represented clients, both as developers and lenders, in all aspects of the development of hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, theaters and residential properties. In the 1990s, Mr. Swibel was one of the lead attorneys representing the FSLIC in the workout and disposition of troubled loans and properties throughout the U.S.

In the corporate area, Mr. Swibel handles mergers and acquisitions as well as advising closely-held businesses regarding shareholder agreements, buy-outs and similar transactions. Since 1991, he has served as Secretariat of the Interlex Group, an association of leading law firms from 35 countries around the world. Mr. Swibel received his law degree in 1978 from Vanderbilt University. He was formerly a partner at Hopkins & Sutter.
